This last picture was made only a few minutes after we found the little guy, soaked and covered with ticks.

Since I was a little kid, I’ve always been into comics. I started with the flemisch and french classics like ‘Suske and Wiske’ and ‘Asterix’. When I was a little older, I started reading the classic American superhero comic-books like ‘X-men’ and ‘Fantastic Four’. Later I moved to “less childish” comics (so I thought) like ‘Yoko Tsuno’ and ‘Storm’. Finally I arrived at the more adult comic-books from writers and illustrators like Moebius (The World of Edena), Jodorowsky (The Metabarons), Andreas , Bilal, Schuiten-Peeters (The Obscure Cities), Hermann (Jeremiah), Scotch Arleston (Lanfeust of Troy) and many many others. There’s a very complete comic encyclopedia, called The Silver Dolfin, so if you want to know more about past work done by your favorite illustrator or which new stuff has been created by a specific writer, check it out!

People often ask me what digital camera I use? Because I work in the IT world, they just assume that I couldn’t be using a 35mm camera. Well, I guess they’re just wrong, aren’t they? :-) The fact is, I’m still using a “old” Nikon F301 (N2000 in the U.S.).
It’s a basic 35mm SLR camera released in 1985. It only supports manual focus, plain old center metering, no built-in flash, no dept-of-field preview, no bracketing, no multiple exposure. But, the body is also very rugged and reliable! I’ve travelled around and used it in all sorts of conditions, in the snow, in the dry and sandy desert-heat, in the wet jungle. The camera’s been dropped, banged around, put in backpacks, and its still going strong! This camera is so strong that guys who take areal pictures with home-made rockets (not kidding, see here ) use the N2000!
