Three of my friends are gradually building up their training schedule to reach the ultimate goal : finishing a triathlon. Not even dark clouds or wind and rain can stop them from putting on their neoprene suit and jumping in the cold and dark water of the canal.What do you think of "The Three Triathletes #2"?

Amazing pics! Were you also in the water? And if so, did you use a housing for your D700?

jeremyhughes : I was standing in the cold water without a suit (which was crazy), my camera was not in a waterproof bag (which was pretty crazy too) and my girlfriend was holding her stretched leg above the water in my direction so I could hold on to it (which is totally crazy) while shooting and make sure I wasn't going to lose balance so I wouldn't go under with my camera. The triathletes were then swimming in my direction while someone assisting me was holding the flash with shoot-through umbrella (slightly left or right) above the camera.

WOAH! This is sweet! How the hell did you get that light on him? I assume he is close to shore? Somehow I picture you treading water and holding up your camera in one hand and a speedlite in another. Ill pretend that is what you did, cause that would awesome.
