Last weekend, me and Barbara were cycling in the countryside enjoying the summer sun. We stopped to have a drink in a cafe where you can sit and relax in a really nice and quiet garden. I saw a few boys playing and climbing a tree and Barbara politely asked the parents if we could make some photos. The parents asked us if we could send the photos afterwards and the boys were also totally cool with it and posed like they were professionals. I didn't have a flash or a reflector with me and a harsh mid-day sun was making things very difficult. So, this is the result, using nothing but my camera and a tiny little bit of post-work.What do you think of "the boy in the tree"?

Mooi gedaan, je moet meer werk posten. Ik heb al een tijdje niets meer gezien van u maar dat kan ook aan mij liggen haha.
that's the way to do it...allez I do it, omdat ik nog steeds nie met flash kan werken ;-)

Thanks guys! @Hilde: :) nog altijd gene workshop gevolgd? Ik begin mij al wa schuldig te voelen.. Misschien moeten we toch eens nen halve dag inplannen ergens, meer is er niet nodig om u op weg te zetten zenne...

Ondanks het moeilijke licht toch een prachtig twee-luik geworden en deze jongen heeft zeker een karakteristiek hoofd ! -- Seen in my contacts' photos. (?)

Very good portrait. Feels very natural and not directed.
Perhaps a reflector would have made it better but who carries those around.
I usually never got to use it the times I bring it anyway ;)
