    The quality is indeed outstanding considering the extremely high ISO setting. Very impressive. On the small thumbnail here both photos together seems almost like one single frame that works quite well.

    again, wish i was there :-)

    stunning lights and ambiance, seems they the city didn't hold one penny back for this event.

    Regarding the ISO, i'm sure you even could have boosted that up to 6400 without any problem (considering a small denoising in the pp). I've been shooting in the dark on 6400 with almost no visible noise in the result; and that with only LR as developer. The difference in visible noise between the original NEF onscreen and the final jpg is amazing.

    If you haven't done it, just do it!

    Artisitic comment : Very good idea. The "dyptic" explain the scene. The lights and colors are wonderful.

    Technical comment : Ok, my next dslr will be a D700 ! ;)
