I like the relaxed feel to them, but also the conversions are great. :)

i like the fake advert smile on the right in the relation to left without pretension. that gives a kind of drama tension.

All the technical aspects are great, but I think the pose is a little bit strange. And the smile.

Really nice, especially the one on the right. Great detail and control of depth of field. Beautiful work

Great control of the tones and light! I especially like the one on the left, he looks most natural and relaxed here, would make a great advert. -- Seen on your photo stream. (?)

I like the close-up better, a bit more playful, the contrast of the stubble and the smile makes one's mind work. The afterwork is also perfect, but that's a quite usual phenomeon in your stream. ;)
nen hele knappe vent....ha ge bedoelt ons mening over het fotografische aan de foto?... ;-P

They both look a little bit posed, but I really like the one on the left. it has great detail. The close-up is technically good. His expression looks a bit... forced, or maybe like you caught him between expressions. But the full length photo is really good.

Good portraits. I like the left one better because of the more natural pose. Good toning.

I think the head shot looks a little forced, and not like he is enjoying this! But the other one look very cool and clean!

OK, you asked for it... :) I really like the colors and the whole sepia (tritone? desaturation?) treatment as well as the palpable physicality of the model, which you captured well (the hands, the cheekbone, etc.). In fact, I like the whole thing except one detail: I can't decide if he is smiling or slightly jeering in the close-up and that is putting me off a bit.

I really like the postprocessing, but I don't think shot on the right is a relaxed portrait. His smile seems a bit 'forced' to me..

You want to know my thougts? Ok - you know that i love colored pictures. You choose a great rusty tone - excellent, but a little bit to much .. juyt a little bit. But it works great - espeacily the right shoot is very very fine! Wanna see more .. please :D.

Thanks for the comments guys. The left photo looks a bit posed because it is. I don't think a portrait *needs* to be spontaneous. Some posing from time to time can give a cool result. :)
Now about the smile: I'm not sure but I don't think it's forced, but I'm going to ask him just to be sure. :)
Nicki, how the image looks on your screen is something I cannot control (I wish I could): it depends on your calibration, your color profile and your gamma settings. It could also be that the tone is just a little too much. :)
Anyway, thanks a lot people, I appreciate all your comments.

Nicki, I have to say you were right about the tone and I adjusted it a bit.
Thanks for the input.

I like this portrait. Especially the close-up. Really one of the moments when people reveal themselves. Also technically well done. Would like to see it in an exhibition. Good work!

Like the lighting and tones in these portrait shot. Think I like the serious expression the best, like the far away look in his eyes. Excellent portrait compositions.
