This is the last in the carnival/fairground series, at least, for now. Maybe I'll visit the place again next week or so just before they leave and maybe i'll try a few other things then. Anyway, the comments were amazing and they just keep me going folks, so thanks for that! :-)
What do you think of "last ticket"?

    Thanks!

Lee> you're right, it was the only one shot from the hand. For the others i used a tripod. Still, i like the atmosphere.

Hi Kris, you should consider making an entire gallery on this subject, as this is to my opinion, one of the best subjects you ever had here.

Nice colors. Perfect exposure. Did you use flash at all? I like it a lot.

Kris I love the nostalgic feel this evokes in me, my first thought on viewing was the film American Graffiti, this is a compliment by the way, defintely has a movie feel for me. Excellent framing especilly to include those folk to the left, and lovely processing..

Hi Kris, do you mind revealing a little about the technical details of your pictures? Like what lenses did you use? And at what shutter/aperture combinations? That'd really be of great help to a novice like me, especially since i'm using a D70s too. :) Thanks!

Thanks for the great comments everyone!

    >PlasticTV: Sure, i've got no secrets!

    camera:

focal: 17mm (a Sigma lens which was included with the camera i found on eBay, actually it's the first time here i was using this lens!)

f5.6 1/8 sec (shot from the hand)

    iso 800

    ev comp -0.50

spot metering (not on purpose just experimenting to get to know the camera)

    aperture priority

About the processing: I'm absolutely no guru, but this is what i did:

    raw file (using RawShooter)

    Exposure comp.: -0.75

    fill light: 11

    highlight contrast: 60

    noise suppression: 6

    color noise suppression: 7

    vibrance -1

    PhotoShop:

hue/saturation: Saturation lower for: Master, Magentas and Red

And a little bit of 'Diffuse Glow'

    That's it!
